History

Founded in 1775, Caguas is a city rich in history and culture, located in the central region of Puerto Rico. Known as the "Heart of Puerto Rico" or the "Criollo City", it was named in honor of the Taíno chief Caguax, who governed the area during the early Spanish colonization.
